Pricing questions
Does ZIP.GY use surge pricing?
There is a busy-period uplift on taxi fares during weekday rush hours (7–9am, 4–7pm) and at night (7pm–5am). All demand pricing combined is capped, so a fare can never run away, and you always see the total — uplift included — before you confirm. It applies to taxi rides only, never to food, grocery or courier fees.
Can my fare change after I book?
No. The price you confirm is the price you pay. If the trip turns out longer than quoted, ZIP.GY pays the driver the difference itself rather than billing you more.
Do I pay extra for traffic?
Not on a short trip: journeys up to 2 km are one flat price whatever the roads are like. On longer trips distance and time are priced when the fare is calculated, and the number you are shown is still the number you pay.
Are tolls or special charges included?
Airport pickups include a set airport fee, shown in your estimate before you confirm. There are no separate ZIP.GY service fees on top of the fare you see.
Does food delivery have a separate fee?
The restaurant's delivery fee is shown on its page and in your basket before checkout. ZIP.GY does not add a customer service fee on food or grocery orders.
How is courier pricing calculated?
A starting price by package size covers the first 2 km, then GYD 150 per km beyond that. Optional insurance is 1% of the declared value. Your exact fee is quoted once you enter pickup and dropoff.
Can I see the price before I pay?
Yes — on every service. Fares, delivery fees, order totals and any MMG collection fee are all shown before you confirm.
